    Default The Lip Stick bird

It was fun for me visiting the North of India, i always dreamt of seeing this bird having seen this one only in pictures it was something i wanted to see for myself

When i landed at this place (Sat tal ) i was told that a birder had come only to see this birdRed-billed Leiothrix (Leiothrix lutea) and only managed a single glimpse of it, i was blessed with quite a few sightings , this is a decent image i managed of this bird , hope you like it

Lovely image of a wonderful bird. Very nice that you could get it out in the open on such a perfect perch and soft, mottled bkgd. When I have seen this species it has always been in thick, dark vegetation. Nice gentle lighting and perfect color saturation for the reds and oranges. Might want to remove the 3 small bright spots in the eye and leave the larger one.

What a beautiful subject you captured him with a nice pose and I like the OOF BG. My only suggestion would be to crop from the right and bottom.

Excellent image, Vishal. I would crop a little from the right. (too much space IMO)

Great shot and such a lovely looking little bird, very rewarding for you to get a rare opportunity to take shots of this beauty, congratulations . Easy to see where it's name comes from, sharp and beautifully smooth backdrop, stunning color combinations on this bird....perhaps crop a little more off the right

Lovely bird, well photographed. Agree on a crop from the right. Your background sets this bird off beautifully. Thanks for sharing it.

All of the colors in this image just go together, quite beautiful. The bird is one I have never seen and you have shown us an excellent image of it. Thanks.

Hi Vishal, a species I havent seen either, and what a variety of colours this fellow has. Your pano works well with the 'low leaning' pose, and yes, he does pop against the BG nicely. Good repost.

That is one lovely little bird!
The best thing about this site, is posting's like these, that show us birds we will never see.
The repost is nice, the OP was fine for me.
Sharp, well exposed attractive bird on a nice perch.
