    full frame. ISO 400 F1/1500 @ F8 Matrix metering -1/7 exp comp

Shot near a waterhole in the Kalahari , it was close to midday light was harsh and conditions were very dusty .

There was about 100 or so vultures ,White backed , Cape and Lappett faced around 6 or seven carcasses of Eland which had died from starvation and predator attacks.

As with all carcasses that Vultures gather at, lots of fights ensue....this was one.

Excellent capture of the moment! Very good information in addition, the behaviors. I would like to see the clipped feet and tail feathers on the left bird, but hey, you got this, so can't complain to loud can we.

    Peter:

My immediate reaction when I saw the image, before looking at who did it, or where it was from, was that it must be Africa.
The head positions are nice, the exposure great to my eyes, and the sense of action is compelling. Nice image.

I'll take action over technical perfection any day. Nothing boring about this image. Excellent Peter.
