I was able to capture this male bunting while at the Atchafalaya NWR. A female showed up about 5 minutes after this one so the pair stayed around for awhile. In this image he was looking for her. All in all, this was a very productive trip with the warblers and buntings.

Tim, an interesting pose and a pretty bird. I think the bird could stand some more sharpening and perhaps a small saturation boost. The eye would benefit from removing the flashed area at the bottom.

Very nice shot and I agree with Doug an adjsutment in curves top slider will bring up the colors and selective sharpening .

Thanks guys. I'll give it a go. Looks like I've gone from one extreme to the other.:) I had the same problems with my last image I posted. The images prior had over sat problems. Seems I'm a bit "gun shy" now on sharpening and over sat problems. Hopefully, I can find the happy medium.

Beautiful bird in a great pose. Agree with the others about the need for a little processing.

    Hi Tim,
As mentioned above........nice pose and details........if you are going to bring into PS to make above changes.....try darkening the BG and see if it improves image???? Not sure if it will work, but worth a shot.
