Default Remnants of an old Ford

[IMG][/IMG]Took this shot as we were cleaning up in the bush at our summer place. After digging it out from the ground I put it on blocks and took several shots with a Nikon D300s, 18-105mm lens, f11, ss 1/2, ISO 200, and then treated it with the Topaz spicify filter. Let me know what you think.

There's a lot I like about this. It's wonderfully composed. Especially with the perspective the tight crop at the left and bottom is very effective. The colors are great, too. The greens and purples work very well together. I'd have tried darkening the background where the light is coming through the trees and lightening the vehicle a bit, but it looks good just the way it is.

I see you're from Kitchener. Back in my working days, I spent some time at the Budd-Canada plant, there.

Thanks for the comments Dennis. I am sure you are aware that they demolished the Budd Plant building this past year. Not sure exactly what is going to happen yet. That was quite the building. When we arrived here in 1980, there was talk of it closing but it survived many year until a few years ago. Cheers Len

Boy, I wish I could find an old Ford, while cleaning around my summer place, I love old cars. Sweet effect and and composition. As Dennis said above, the perspective rocks, well done.

Hi Len, nice discovery and a super image of it. I love the filter effect on this, there aren't many images that can take the Spicify but this one works really well. Love the colors and textures. Hope to see more of your images here!
