    Default Winter Aspen

My piece of the world is in a time warp and it is still winter, with the ground completely covered in snow . This image was underexposed by 1 stop in the camera. I used fractalius to define the aspen trunks. After that I applied and deleted various Topaz filters in a fit of a
caffeine buzz. Which really means I am not sure exactly which effects I kept.

Well, Nancy, whatever you did I like it I like the very wintry feel to the bottom of the image and the hint of better weather in the light blue sky at the top. If you got really philosophical you could say the trees were all bending in the direction of the hint of spring. I hope it comes soon for you.

This is quite amazing. Well, two things are amazing -- the image and the fact that I was going to say the same thing with which Cheryl opened her comments. I'd never have come up with something as good her following thoughts. Hat's off to both of you.

Lovely artistic image, one that really emulates a style and medium. I feel a soft colored pencil on rough paper that has a very pale watercolor wash applied. Super feel that Cheryl summed up nicely. I think it would make a great canvas gallery wrap. Well done!

    Nancy,

Greetings. That caffeine seems to work for you ;-). I really like this... just beautiful. Good show!

You might try a flip and stretch upward for a corridor composition for grins.

    Cheers,

    -Michael-

I believe I slept in my car last week in your area, road closed no way out and hotels full, thanks god for Wal-mart and cheap sleeping bags.

    Very nice idea and image.

Thanks everyone! So the vote is that I don't give up the coffee. Good!

Michael, I'll experiment with your idea. This coming theme is flips!

Paul, did you stay in Ft. Collins? I could not even have helped you out since, as you said, all roads were closed. So sorry you had to sleep in your car. That really is only comfortable for children and pets.
