A lovely bird, set off well by the BG colors, hard to go wrong with orange and blue! NIce look back pose, sharp, well exposed, perch well scaled for him.

Look forward to more of this beauty.

    Cheers

You have captured a beautiful subject on an attractive perch. In addition the subject is tact sharp.
IMO a composition with a little room around the subject would be stronger.

    I have a few questions.
Did you photograph this image using auto exposure or manual?
Did you compensate the exposure? If so how much and in which direction?
Could you move your position enough to provide a pure blue background, without the white at the top?

Fine exposure and detail in the head. The orange feathers in the coverts and tail seem to be very smooth - practically no detail - is this how they were?

    Dear James ,
The Exposure is set to auto
no i did not it is on the center.
yaa little bit move to wards the rocks to get at list 3/4 of blue BG from the rocks and then smoother the Bg in PP.

Hi again Ritish. I like the crown on this guy and the details and head angle you captured. Agree with James on wondering about the shooting angle as a pure blue sky would have been the perfect bg

Nothing much to add, but sometimes pishing (sounds like a kissing noise that you make with your lips) will get the subject to turn it's head a bit more towards you. Beautiful bird Ritesh, I can see why you love photographing this species.

Certainly looks like a prince with that crown Ritesh! What and interesting and beautiful bird! I can see why it's one of your favorites. Although you mentioned what the BG was actually composed of, it almost looks like a mountain range which I like. Exposure and sharpness are good and so is the HA. Sure wish we had these guys around my area as I beleive he would be one of my favorites as well!
