Pheasant Dispute

was out looking for some brown hares yesterday morning and I came across these two birds having a dispute in the middle of a quiet road yesterday. Unfortunately I think I arrived just as they were just finishing but managed to get a few photos of the battle before they moved off into some undergrowth.
Taken with 1Dmk3 and 500mm lens at ISO 400 F5 +0.33EV at 1/400sec with evaluative metering.
