    Chris:

The frost makes often boring grass special here, also like the variation in elevation. Bird is sharp, well exposed, good pose.

Might consider a small trim from top and bottom.

    Well done.

    Cheers

Chris, I love seeing the plover in a different environment. Nice head angle, sharp, well placed. I like the diagonal presented by the in-focus grass. Agree that you could crop just a touch off the bottom edge.

Super shot Chris, really like the frost and grass, I agree it looks great in this environment. Regards composition, I like it but I think I would recrop same size and take a bit off the base and add it to the top. What were ISO shutter and aperture?

That frost is really something special here, something we do not see often in bird photos...especially shorebirds! Nice details, exposure, colours. Great separation between BG and subject's head. I would crop out most of the OOF FG, and I would eliminate what looks like a round specular highlight in front of the bill.

    Wonderful shot.
Love the warm light, great pose, great shooting angle, and the frost is the icing on the cake.
    Very well done.

Love this image Christopher! The frost is something special here. Really like the gradient of colors through the image and the DOF os right on for me atleast. I actually like the comp but do agree with daniel that the specular highlight is a small distraction.

Excellent photo Chris. Everything works for me. I must head to the coast sometime soon to get some wader shots.
