Very apt title James, lovely timing and exposure, great detail retained in the whites and like the way it all sits in the frame...that's quite a stick he's fumbling with !

    James:

Love all the interesting aerodynamics going on here, with flared feathers, stalling feathers on top of wing, etc. Head position great and unusual for a stick toting image. Impressive stick, and the comp is just right.

    Great to see you posting.!!

    Cheers

Terrific flight action and the breeding plumage and huge stick are a big plus. I really like the comp you chose.

It's nice to know that you are taking photographers to photography locations other than Alafia for spoonies!

Hey James. You really nailed a great comp here with the intersecting angles created by the bird and the stick. I really like the curled wing feathers and the incoming posed feet too. I enjoyed our afternoon here and look forward to more hooptie deux days!

    Wow James!

With such a common bird here in FL you really stepped it up to show something different.

Lovely exposure job in what seems like harsh light.

Nice composition. That is another rookery that I got some good images from. :) Stick is a bonus.

I like the effects of the full air brakes, exposure, breeding colour, stick and composition. A real beauty James!
