Sunday's forecast was for rain and possible thunder storms. Not being the sharpest knife in the drawer I decide to go and do what I love - photograph birds.
As it turned out I was rewarded with a bright overcast sky in the afternoon.

Rear Focus (yes I'm trying it)

    Full Frame

Processed from a laptop - always a crap shoot for me.

Does this image look a little larger than usual?

Very unique Tern shot. I like the high keyish look to it. Not a lot of detail in the whites but the look of the shot makes it beautiful and dose the addition of the fish. Nice capture.

Very nice, I like bbf for statics shots but find it easier to pump the trigger with the shutter button for birds in flight.
So I add back button focusing to my custom menu so I can easily switch between the two.

Very high key looking, so in that respect it works well, but it does lack finer detail...fish is a great cbonus

What an awesome capture, James, and so artistic. Looks great at this new larger size!

It's awfully nice to see you posting. So many photographers here at BPN don't know what an exceptionally talented photographer you are.

Lovely flight shot, and beautiful comp. I might wish for a little brighter catchlight, but no other nits from me.

Now I'll have to decide whether to reformat some images I had ready to post at 1024.
