A nice sign of spring around here.
A hurry up shot, dialed in some exposure and shot.

This is really a super image, Mike. Love the wing position/pose. Details are amazing, and it's nice to see the yellow beak and feet. You might be able to open up the colors on the back wing just a tad since it's a little dark.

I like this very much. You can try the suggestion made by Marina which might improve the image a bit but as is it ticks all the boxes for me.

Great pose with great detail. Love the pattern on the under wing of this bird. Exposed well and I like the weathered perch. Nice work.

The quality of light in this is exceptionally good, brilliant for a hurried shot. Like the weathered perch as well....no room for improvement imo

Hi Mike, I like your terminology of "a hurry up shot" - I call it a grab shot, aim and shoot and hope for the best. Great IQ, and I really like the light, detail and sharpness. Well timed to get the raised wings, and I like the weathered perch.

Gorgeous shot. You nailed the exposure on this "hurry-up" shot. I might just wish for a tad more room at top to make the format a little more vertical. But a beauty as posted.
