    Default Northern Shoveler.

I wished for a little head turn towards the camera but it never happened.
The colour of the water is the result of the reflection of the dry reed of this marshy spot of the pond at High Park, Toronto.
    Thanks for looking.

Excellent image of this colorful and handsome bird with very nice IQ and beautiful reflection.
Love the colors especially greens on head, details and composition. BG looks good too.

Nice duck and colours. I also wish for a better HA but bird photography is not easy some times!

Hi Karl, lovely iridescence on the head, and the reflection shows up so well against an unusual colour of water - works for me.

Beautiful colours Karl and the little water drops on the head and body are a nice touch

I like the colors of the duck against the water. Looks sharp and exposed well. Well done Karl

Head turn looks fine to me, colors are striking, reflection is very nice and all sits in the frame well....I think the head lacks a little detail, but I guess the light was quite strong which may be why

Handsome drake! Nice colours throughout and good job on the exposure. Reflection looks great and I like the subtle rippling in the water. I know you would have preferred a better HA but it being parallel as is is quite OK too.
