    Default "Pileated"

Tough to get close enough with 200 mm, but finally sneaked up on one!

Love the pose and the beautiful background. If you are fine with cloning, I would suggest to clone out the tree OOF blades of grass on the left side.
    Great worl Allen.

Love the habitat, colours, and pose of bird. Nicely exposed and with good details. I would add more black to the bird.

Nice! Don't get to see them on the ground much. I have a pair that have been visiting my yard and i still haven't managed to get close enough.

Nice to get them down on the ground, and often when that is the case they are more approachable. Exposure looks good to me, as do the details. I like the head pointing up and I love the claws clutching the edge of the sawed-off stump. Although doable it would be a tedious job cloning out those grass blades so I would leave them in even if I wish they were not there. I do agree with cropping from above a bit.

Thank you all very much for the comments, I do believe I will crop a bit of the top for printing. Thanks again!
