    Nice colors on this photo, and nice sharp eye. shooting low is nice, but I think you got a little too low and caught grass just outside of the lens, causing a harsh transition under the bird.

    Robert brings up a good point. I've been seeing some very low POV shots recently (not here), that are a bit too low with distracting foregrounds in the way of the subjects. An inch or two higher and I think you'd have cleared the grass. Also, a slight shift in your shooting angle might have moved the OOF twig/branch from coming right into the bird's head. I noticed that right away in the thumbnail before I opened the thread. I find myself paying more attention to details like this because of feedback from others. Sometimes, it's just a slight shift, but it can make a lot of difference. That said, sometimes I totally forget and have some object going straight into the subject. That's when I bust out the cloning tool, but would rather not.

    Hi Sanjeev , The IQ looks to me to be able to take a tight crop , as I too find the lower frame a bit distracting . The bird is too good to not work-it to the max!
