Screech Owl

Curiosity has taken this youngster to the top of the cavity. He was hopping around the tree.

He is so cute! Nice pose, nice BG. Looks a bit bright on my iPad.

Killer set up you got here, Troy. Love how you showed just the right amount of perch to make the horizontal presentation work. Your BG is killer. Your owlet needs some sharpening. Your Canon equipment seems to be working well for you!

Thank you all. Will apply more sharpening on the owl.

Just to show you guys what we had to do to get the image. Shot taken from the ladder and the oak tree is about 20ft high. BG is the distance green. The owls's nest is near by.

Great work doing what it takes to get the shot. Love the sweet little face and awesome detail. Nice ladder too LOL

Need a taller ladder, any ladder company might sponsor out there? LOL

Wow, you remind me of a frind who makes a lot of stunts in order to get the shot! but be careful up there! lovely owl, I´ve been following the process in FB and now these little guys are almost ready to leave the nest as it looks. Nice BG and fill flash work.
