    Default Dark-eyed Junco

Taken during a snowstorm through an open window. The perch is a large piece of dead juniper (abundant around here) that I have set up near my bird feeders. Generally it is difficult to photograph birds at this feeder since the light is usually all wrong so I have to wait for clouds, or big snowstorms !

    Canon 5D Mark III, Canon 300 f4 L IS, 1/640, f8, ISO 800.

Nancy i like this a lot like how you have the bird in focus and the perch in a bit large but my eyes get drawn to the birds eye with that yellow ring well done

Well done Nancy. The exposure is dead on, you handled that great.

For me at least, it's nice to see one on a perch. I think all of my Junco's
    are on the ground.

Excellent image, Nancy. Love the snow on the perch and the fluffed up pose.

As sweet a shot as one could hope for Nancy, stunning detail and I do like the whiteout backdrop and his eye contact with the camera

It looks very well-fed and content! Nice image, and good to see one on a perch.

If it were mine I'd take a little off the top, but that's being nitpicky.
