    Default Common Hawk Cuckoo aka Brain Fever Bird

    I had a whale of a time last year photographing this specie in the city limits. And hearing their searing calls in the wild. AV mode 1/250; f 5.6; ISO 200; EF 100-400L IS USM at 400. Canon 7D. Manfrotto Monopod.

    cool that you got one with food item. the image has some issues though, namely steep angle, clipped tail, a rather busy perch/ BG and noise.

    TFS hope you can find him again in better conditions :)

    Anand:

    Good comments from Arash;

    I do find him sharp, well exposed, nice eye ring, prey item.

    A cleaner location would certainly show him off better.

    Look forward to the next post!

    Cheers

    Anand,

    Randy and Arash made some good comments, so I won't add to those. I do hope that you get another chance with this species, but if you don't at least you came back with some detailed images!

    Not much you can do about the cluttered fg and bg, just hope for a better situation next time.

    Miguel
