Excellent shot Lyle. Far better HA than the other post, IMO. Sweet shot with the prey item, as usual, and I figure you wanted to include the water droplets behind the bird but it makes the bird itself become too centred in the frame. How about a vertical crop?

I like the low angle and the waves in the water. Wings up and water splashing are good. I also like the "grey day" look. I'd actually add back some canvas top and right, and tone down the very brightest whites.

A little too "centered", but a great action shot anyway...prey, splash, etc. They're getting active around here and should start nesting any day now.

Well done on a difficult tern to photograph in flight. Love the little splash, the food in beak and the wing position. I think I would entertain a different crop but tried and wasn't sure what I came up with was better. I took some off of the bottom, a tad off of the left and top.
