This Turnstone is from Boca Chica Beach in southern Texas during spring break. The last one I posted had too much sargasum so I decided to post this one with a little more balance. I added canvas to both the left and right and removed a blob in the sand.

Composition looks good as does sharpness. I'm not crazy about the division between sand and sky/surf running right below the bird's head. Also, there's a spot in the sand at the bottom of the frame near the left edge of the seaweed. Not sure what the brown blotches are in the blue BG but they also draw attention away from the main subject.

    Hey Trey,
Love the composition and exposure bird is sharp with details and the background is nice and mellow with a light blue pastel flavor to it. I have no nits. Like it the way it is...:D

A tack sharp image! if this was mine I would tone down the bright spot running along his head.

    Trey,

I like how you used the seaweed to balance the bird in the image. Colors and exposure look good. I might have tried going higher of lower to reposition the sand to surf transition away from the head.

Well balanced compo, one of the few times where higher would have been a little better to avoid the two toned bg intersecting the bird. Very nice.

Thanks for the input. The BG is a little unfortunate but better next time. Thanks.

A superb composition Trey . . . and very sharp. I love it.
