Default Spotted Owlets: "Today they are two"

I was tracking these young ones alone for over a week. A photographer friend joined me on the 10th day. They noticed that.

    Canon 7D. Aperture Priority - f 8; 1/40; ISO 320; Ef 100-400L IS USM. Focal Length 400mm. Manfrotto Tripod.

Hi Anand, I may have missed your other threads, but a big welcome to BPN from me, and enjoy the fun. Capturing any owl is a bonus, but to see and capture two owlets is a real bonus. The little guy on our right looks a bit younger than his sibling, but I could be wrong. Great eye contact from the owlet on the left, and I would try and bring out more 'exposure' around the owls and their nest.

Stuart, Thanks a lot. Please watch this video. The guy on the left dominates the guy on the right. At 1.48 of the video the wing is used like a hand to keep him down. The video was shot on the second day of my sighting them and since then I have been doing a lot of videos every day.

Great find! Love both pictures. I'd try to lighten up the one on the right on the first pic a little bit.

these owls are really cute!!! love the pose. the image is somewhat contrasty and the owlets lack details though which is result of very slow shutter speed. if you had chosen a higher ISO and faster shutter the owls would be sharp.
