    Default Junior all alone...

Hi All, This is a young Kangaroo stretching his legs in a few enthusiastic circuits around his mum. He never got too far away but was pretty keen to try out his legs... I was good to see... I have had to remove a few distracting items (bright flowers) from around the tail. 1D4 and 500F4 at 1/800 sec, hand held. F5.6, ISO 1250. Processed in CS6 and this is about 70% of the original. DON

It's great to see some Joeys on the forum, Don!
Lovely action capture here...is this a wild one? I might introduce some warmth in the highlights using split toning in LR?
I wish for a tad more bottom-room too...

Super sharp shot Don, the detail in his fur is remarkable, my only though would be to have more canvas on the left

    Morkel,

This is 'wild' technically speaking but he lives with many other in the bush surrounding a cemetery close by to where i live. They have a lot of contact with the public and some (but not this little fella) can be hand feed by those they trust. By this I mean there is one guy who goes to the cemetery every weekend and feeds them. As soon as the roos see his car there is a mad dash of about a dozen 'roos toward his car... Most 'roos at this spot will allow you to approach to about 15 to 20 feet then they back off... this your fella and his mum were even more difficult to approach as you might expect...

Hi Don, agree with Phil about a bit more space to the LHS and I would also suggest trying to soften the OOF streak in the BKD, arching from the back, just where the tail starts. I would also continue your 'mowing' of flowers, especially at the foot of the image below the front feet.

There still seems to be this colour tint in the ear closest and partly on the chest, not sure what it is, or causing it?

Hi Don - nice timing on the jump and sharp where it matters. Good suggestions above for taking it up a notch.

Lovely capture. Agree with all the comments above to take it even higher. All maybe pretty easy fixes if this was 70% of the capture. Love the expression and the front claws. Great subject.

Nice 'roo in flight shot. Detail looks good and the body has a nice curve to it. Great view of those claws too!

Great timing for sure and great detail too. Some good comments above. Am agreeing with more room at the bottom and softening the line mentioned by Steve
