One of the finest images of a swallow I have seen Jim. Well done.

I do wish we had this species here, stunning blue on this species. So very well achieved from a boat at 600mm. I like his look/mood, he seems a little sinister/mischievous or maybe just a bit smug atop his perch.

I feel a little more canvas on the right to make the in frame placement fit the general rules....but sometimes dam the rules...looks good as is LOL
The only real problem I see with this one is the backdrop, I think maybe it was overdone with noise reduction or similar and there is quite a bit of jpeg artifact showing

Excellent image here, well exposed. I'm seeing the posterized look in the BG Phil's speaking about too. I wish the bird was a little more left in the frame, he's mildly too centred for my liking. Otherwise, I love the head turn toward you and his expression. That deep colour really pops!

Beautiful subject. Those iridescent feathers look great, as does the pose. Agree on the background. I'd actually like the bird a little more to the right in the frame, I feel the flow from the bottom of the wings to the eye is a bit more pleasant. Is the catchlight natural? The light appears overcast unless a flash was used.

very nice vibrant color, very sharp. BG can use some NR (looks like there was some compression?)
