    Don,

What a beautiful moment with nature,..just great! Nice detail for all the FL. The main opportunity here is the subject placement. As the photographer you decide where to place the subject; consider standard the rule of thirds composition which would move the subject to the left making it easier on the eye to process the frame.

There is also a stick protruding from the bottom edge towards the subject,..now you are probably saying, "Jeff" there are sticks and branches everywhere. This is true, consider roaming the edges and corners to make them as clean as possible. A clean bottom edge and corners (notice yellow spot in bottom right hand corer) help balance the frame. Nice photo and excellent field technique with the large glass and tripod.

Good shot Don, with the subject evenly lit. They are lovely birds, majestic when they're sunning like this. Agree with Jeff re: subject placement and sticks.
