    Default Tree Swallow Argument

Some years ago we planted some weeping cherry trees and they have been giving us some great photo opportunities. This morning I was outside trying to photograph some birds among the blossoms. I was rewarded with this pair who seemed to have a disagreement among the blossoms. I hope you enjoy this experience as much as I did.

    Nikon D7000, 80-400 @370, ISO 500, f9, 1/1250 sec, +.3 EC.

    Of course, comments welcome.

Wow, Linda, what a fabulous catch! The birds are sharp and the BG and blossoms are very complementary. The whites appear well controlled. No nit is worth mentioning, in my book, as the overall scene is wonderful. I have enough trouble getting ANY image of a swallow and you snagged a winner.

    This is very nice.
Attractive perch and cool well exposed poses for the swallows.

Great action captured here Linda and all on such a pretty perch. Love the blue sky bkg and composition in the frame. If this was mine (and I wish it was) I'd give it a touch more sharpening but still quite lovely as is.

Very eye catching bit of "art ", such a wonderful composition with the flowering branches and blue backdrop. This one of the few times I think a squarish crop seems to work nicely. The birds are very sweet with their little blue heads and the interaction is great. Possibly the birds could stand a little more sharpening, but at the same time I think the slight softness lends itself nicely to the feel of the image....love it !

Beautiful shot, great action well exposed. I keep looking at the colour of the white feathers, I think there is a colour cast - green/blue??

Thanks everyone for the nice comments. I'll take a look at the whites, Jonathan to see if there's a cast but I don't see it on my monitor. It also prints up nice and white.

Linda, lovely behavior image. Love the colors of both the birds and the perch. Sweet light.
