    This bird is not very colorful but I though he was pretty in his own way. I tried to use what I learned from the critique of the Vermillion Flycatcher that I posted a few weeks ago.

    Hi Dona I like the pose and bg very much Excellent perch Might want to increase the contrast just a bit for the body and lighten the area around the eye. Since they are not colorful you depend on good contrast for making stand out Would also consider moving back in frame.

    Dona, I agree about the beauty of this bird, the BG is lovely, I would like to see the face a little more bright and sharp, especially the beack. Great image and pose.

    I too like these sparrows and the bkg is perfect for him. I would like to see it a little sharper.

    Thank you all for taking the time to look at my image and make the comments and suggestions. I am not always as objective as I'd like to be when looking at my own images, I overlooked the sharpness and I missed the best crop for this image. Your critiques are a valuable learning tool for me.
