    Colin:

    Handsome bird, sharp,well exposed, pretty subtle flash use, all good.

    The BG is a bit of a challenge, because of all the bright areas, and contrast. Masking the bird and softening the contrast on the BG a bit would tone that down.

    nice pose and a good perch, I agree with Randy. I think the flash power was too much, the color channels are blown , in particular the reds in the head have no detail.

    Beautiful bird . . . but I think I see noise in the bird's body and in the background . . .

    Great pose and bird. In addition to the above, I might select the BG and bring down not only contrast, but the exposure as well. It may help the bird pop a bit more.

    Nice pose and beautiful looking bird...New one for me...Agree with others regarding another round of NR and toning down the BG..

    Thankyou all for your comments. I've compared my original with the posted image and considerable detail has been lost in my web image prep. The BG of course is another matter that I will attend to.
