It's a rare day in Alaska when you get no wind and clear sun, but it makes for a nice seamless blue BG.

Wonderful capture, Alan. There's so much to like in this image. The clarity, great light, water splash, perfect angle towards you. I would like to see slightly more room to the left, in the direction of flight. But it's a terrific image all around. Extremely well done.

Great action shot, Alan. It is a mixture of dynamic action and smoothing calmness created by the nice background. I also like the shooting angle.

    This is wonderful Mike.
The low POV, perfectly placed splash and wonderful techs make this shot a winner.
Looks like he is Mr. Piggy as his crop looks full already!

Just superb Alan, love the explosive splash and clarity of the water, the up swept wings add more drama...not sure if it could do with a bit more space on the left or not, either way this is dynamic in every aspect

Awesome capture all around! Well done. More room on the left wouldn't hurt.

This image leaves nothing to wish for! Perfect on all counts, Alan. Even the talons didn't come up empty.

Wow, the power of the bird and the rush of the hunt is all packaged very well here. Comp feels nicely balanced too with that awesome splash.
