    I think I might have finally cracked it!! Taken on our recent week's holiday on the Isle of Mull, Scotland.



    Canon 7D & 100-400 L @ 390mm. F6.3, 1/2500, -2/3 ev, ISO 400. AV mode

    Richard,

    What a capture nice action shot,..just a great moment in nature. Consider moving the subject out of center and applying rule of thirds composition method. The foreground is too deep as well; remember the foreground often walks the eye into the frame and this is a bit distracting,..but not too bad. Move the subject to the left and crop some off the bottom. The exposure is good, maybe sharpen/work the eye - the head angle is a bit away from the lens,..but we take what we can get and the food source is just out of frame. Nice one,..what a sight!

    Great shot Richard, I think Jeff has all the major points nailed. I really like how you got the piece of the meal...although of course if your camera was pointing a little more to the right it would've been ideal! Still a very good shot. Thanks for sharing.
