I think this is the most attractive phase in a Wood Duck.
Self critique, I took this awhile ago and never posted because it is angling away a bit,
but I just like the colors and i did have eye contact.

I like the low angle, colors, sharp details and the green in the water. I agree with your self critique about HA.

You've nailed it about the HA here. The only other thing that bugs me about this image is the strong dark streak of water intersecting its head. Otherwise a great shot. I agree with you about this being the most attractive phase, I guess the more striking adult males are so well photographed, the novelty with this plumage plays a great part!

Never seen an immature Woody, tack sharp and you are right about the HA.

I find the BG a tad strong for my taste.

I like the sharpness, details, composition, low angle and water colour. Nice image Dan.

Hi Dan, good detail, and I like how we can see the colours coming through. Interesting texture to the water, and yes, a better HA would have been better.

Love the colors and texture of the water. Handsome youngster indeed. You know about the HA/angle already.
You make these high ISOs look trivial!

Nice looking woody. I think it a first for me too. He is beautiful and you captured him well. I like the blue wing feathers. Nice green water too.
