I had this image in mind and took advantage of the weather to get it. I needed the sun over my shoulder, and the wind in my face. Choosing a mature adult, I waited for the wind to blow up his head feathers while looking straight at me. I was happy when everything came together.

Stunning head shot, good exposure with details in black and white. Love that down the barrel look very much. The blown feather really make the image, glad you get what you want.

Once again sir you have posted an outstanding bird image! The exposure, wind blown feathers, detail, and that look from the eagle are awesome.

Very cool portrait. Exposure and details are beautiful and the wind blown hackles look great. The eagle is lit perfectly and the beak is so clean and smooth that it looks like plastic. I really like the BG too. Nice work

One of the best BE portraits I have seen. The color of the beak just pops and I like the blue BG. The feather detail is superb. Amazing eye contact as well. Well done and TFS.
