Nice capture. That wingspan and the detail you captured in it is outstanding. Wish I could see more of his head.

I like the wing position, hunting behaviour, setting and exposure. The feather pattern really stands out. I might take some off the top and add some to the bottom if you have it. Excellent image Jonathan!

Interesting hunting behavior, and it really helps that you have one visible eye. The comp works well here to showcase the behavior.

Despite the head is not that visible I find the shot very interesting. As mentioned it is a great hunting behavior image. Nice one, Jon.

Hi Jon, a very interesting hunting pose, one not often posted, and great that the eye is visible too. I like the light in this, and the colours of both the owl and BG compliment each other.

Thanks for the feedback everyone, you appear to have a minor reservation as I did regarding the head but overall I think the pose is reasonable. I lightened the eye and surrounding area very slightly as it was just shaded.

    Hey Jon,
I'm OK with HA as it really shows off the hunting pose. Topside view and wingspread are excellent as well. Very nicely done!

Great light and hunting pose. These owls are so much fun to watch fly and hunt.

This HA displays perfectly. The owl is hunting, not posing for the camera! The light and IQ are excellent, I love the environment.
