    Default Psychedelic Dream

This started out as a photo of three Hobie Cat sails from a boat show I went to a few years ago. I first applied the Paper Cutout filter in CS6, and then Nik Color Contrast filter. Then I decided to check out what Liquify in CS6 does. Now I know! It allowed me to transform it into an abstract painting. I increased saturation and vibrance slightly (although this last step was probably not necessary). Hope you like it!

It looks like you had fun experimenting. It's a good thing to do. You achieved a nice intermixing of colors, and a strong diagonal. It's wild, but I like it.

Great experimenting, looks very cool. Reminds me of a HIgh Times cover. I like it.

I love that liquefy tool. I think the colors and strong lines make this work. I might crop a sliver off the top to eliminate the black strip in the upper right corner. But very nice job.

Well done! You created a great composition with those dramatic colors and lines moving my eyes through the center and then out to enjoy the dips and bends of the curves, and explosions of saturated color. Not sure how I feel about the bit of white writing that shows in a lower blue area.

Thanks, all. Nancy...I'm not sure about the writing either...I think I'll clone it out.

Hi Wendy, that's a wild catamaran! Love the bold colors and Peter Max stylistic elements. Nice composition and artwork! I agree with losing the Hobie logo bit.

    Wendy,

Greetings. Very cool! I particularly like the color, color contrast.

    Cheers,

Wendy, great colors and abstract. I think I would like to see all of the Hobie writing but that may not be possible. I would eliminate the one black strip at the lower left edge.

I like this colorful dream image. The colors are marvelous--so vibrant. The swirls are interesting and nicely placed. I would never have guessed at the image you started with. I agree about cloning out the white. Overflowing creativity.
