Last year the cardinals nesting in my neighborhood raised one juvie. The female taught it how to feed from the feeder in my Angel Trumpet tree. In this image he is showing his male coloration and the tree is in bloom.
I'm heading for St. Augustine this weekend. I hope to meet many of you there.

That OOF leaf at left is way too prominent, but it should be easy enough to make disappear ;-) While at it the one top right corner could go too. I find the pose cute and gives the bird the curious nature juvies can have, but I still wish for a better head angle though.
