    Default Lesser Scaup, male

Took this in March of 2012 in a creek fed pond.
Normally a lake wintering duck here in southern ontario,
so it was nice to photograph them with cattails in the BG.

Great looking Scaup shot. Well done getting the details in the dark head. Might have fried the whites a little to get the dark right, but thats what it takes on some shots. The eye looks great as dose the BG. Very Nice.

There isn't a thing I would change here. This is really a very pleasing image. The exposure and details are just out of this world, and I love that little water droplet on its forehead!

Hi Tim, excellent exposure on the head to bring out the green sheen, infact overall well exposed. Yes, that eye certainly does stand out, and three droplets on the tail are a nice touch. Did I mention what a great BG too.

Excellent image Tim! I like the low angle, sharpness, HA, water drops, BG and composition.
