I like the eye contact, perch, IQ, light and BG. I would tone down the whites in the bow tie and give it some more room below for the virtual tail. Beautiful image Mike!

Gorgeous light, great eye contact. I'd give it some more room if you have in the bottom and sharpen it a tad more. Nice one, Mike.

Great looking shot. See lots of these guys posted but not to many in that beautiful evening light. Nice pose with the eyes lit well and perch looks great too. Well done

Love portrait, Mike, and what gorgeous light. When I first saw the image, I though the horizon line through the head area would distract me but, once I opened it, it didn't bother me at all. I agree on a tad more space below, more sharpening and I would consider a +4 on the greens to remove the slight magenta cast.

excellent eye contact and sweet warm light, you were lucky you got this light. I like the perch too. I did a slight color adjust, NR on BG and sharpened to owl a bit hope you like it

Looks as if he's watching you, not the sun! Great shot... Arash's pp tweaks take it up a notch.

Repost looks great. At almost ff, f4 just isn't enough, perhaps that's why the feathers on the chest are soft.

Great eye contact! I like what Arash did with the repost. As Troy said, stopping down a bit would have strengthened the image IMO.

Beautiful light Mike. From what I saw of other images there wasn't much of it going around. Great eye contact and the repost is nice too.
