These sweet little sandhill crane siblings were captured early this season here in Florida. My issue with this image was that in order to delete the parent bird without cloning and keep the crop vertical it was a pretty large crop. Also the right side chick has motion blur on the head and I would like to know if it bothers you. Thanks for the input.

You've captured a wonderful moment here! There is nothing about this image that would bother me.

Awesome interaction and light, Cheryl. On my work monitor, I can see any bad effects from the large crop you mention, nor do I see motion blur.
    All looks good from here.

I think the story is so strong it overcomes any technical flaws...with that said you did a great job technically! Very nice job!

I think the moment is what matters in this image. Sometime motion blur is good. I like the moment, prefer cleaner BG but you can't have everything all the time.

The behavior/acction is so captivating that the slight motion blur is a non-issue for me. I just love the way the colts interact/play, and you captured it beautifully.

I agree with all of the above. Such a wonderful capture! Sometimes photos don't need to be technically perfect to tell a perfect story. Love it!

The eye being relatively sharp makes it work. The key to the image is the great interaction between the two.

I can't see enough blur to be an issue -- what a great catch!

What would you think about cropping off the dark area at the top?

I think the interaction and the poses are super. Love the left hand chicks' folded wing.
Before I even read Diane's comment I thought I would like to see the dark area at the top cropped out as well.
For web presentation the slight motion blur is a non issue but if you wanted to print it big that might present a problem,

Excellent interaction. I would try to tone down the background areas further emphasizing the chicks. Good job Red.

Thanks Diane and everyone for the input. I have taken your suggestion but to Mikes level by toning it down because I don't want to crop anymore. WDYT? A little better I think, less of a distraction.

Hi Cheryl, cuteness factor all over this image, and love the show of their tiny wings. Im fine with your OP, and not much motion blur detected from this side.

Sweet poses and I like the crop as is. It gives it a bit more of a natural setting than just grass.
