Don't normally post her images but was re processing some old images with Arash's Sharpening techniques. Saw this interesting perspective on the issue of HA on an image my wife took in Galapagos

Now that may be one of the most unique head angles I've ever seen. I like the composition you chose. IQ is not the best, but it appears as though you did a good job reprocessing. Thanks for sharing your wife's amazing capture!

Thanks Marina, I mainly sent it because I thought it kind of funny with all the HA discussions....Likely she shot this in fully Auto mode for sports..and was curious to see how Arash's sharpening would work on such a file. I have used it on many and real pleased....I will post one of mine tomorrow with it.

Amazing the contortions birds can do! Rotating this so the bird is on more of an angle would increase the drama even more. Would be easy to add canvas as needed if it's already a tight crop, and fill in the sky. But it's wonderful enough as is!

That is awesome!! Unique is indeed the word, and I also love the clutched talons. A pano crop would work very well here IMO.

I looked at them the top of the wings are odd but that apparently is a bit due to their torqueing to support the head angle...

Very interesting image. I like the head turn, wing position, fanned tail and talons. I would do a pano crop as well.
