    Default Morning Leopard Patrol

It has been over 2 weeks since I posted a leopard image . Here's a wider view of a different sighting, though it is of the mother from the other sighting. She was on her morning patrol when we came across her.

    Canon 5D3
    70-200 II @ 200mm
    1/320
    f5.6
    ISO 800
HH from safari vehicle, levels, curves, selective color adjustments, dodging and burning, sharpened in CS6. I brightened the leopard a little to make her pop. Is it too much?

    C&C welcome and appreciated. Thanks,
    Rachel

This is depressing me Rachel, as I look out of the window as flurries of snow are falling heavily, and then I see this. But I do like deep snow too.

To me the light is absolutely gorgeous and whatever you did to make her 'pop' has worked IMHO. Love the warm light and the alert look. Nice position in frame too. As, it stands it's a very, very nice image indeed!

Just a thought, but you go pano, and slightly blur the LHS with the Iris tool, but keeping her pin sharp, this is only a 2% blur, just thinking out load, but very happy with the OP.

    Nice work.

Hi Rachel, lovely light & good BG separation for that nice 3D impression. I prefer the OP because it gives the leopard space to look into.

Beautiful light on this beautiful cat. I like the blur in the second post but prefer your crop. Love how she/he is in the environment but stands out from it. Gen

    Hi Rachel

This is beautiful... I love the light, and the complimentary colour of the surrounds with the Leopard. The pop on the Leopard is just enough for me to highlight the animal without making it too obvious. Well done..!

I love the light and how it is falling on the environment Rachel. I was going to suggest a little off the top to off center the leopard a bit and I do like Steves crop as well

Great stuff Rachel. I love the "early winter morning in the Bushveld" feeling I get here...
Light is great and you've made her pop nicely.
