    Default Beautiful Firetail

This is one of our grassfinch species from the cooler heath areas of south-eastern Australia.

31 looks and no comments? I don't get it. Composition, colors, perch, subject, all come together so nicely here. That little nub on the perch to the left of the bird could go. Other than that, only positives from me on this image.

I don't know how much this is cropped and if a more pleasing composition can be achieved. The bird would look better slightly higher in the frame ...but you might then lose balance with the greenery on the LHS of frame. Still a very nice image.

Great image. I would not change a thing. For me, the composition is perfect.

A terrific image, Greg. Most has been said, as there is little to mention as possible improvements. My first thought was that the OOF needles just to the right of the bird (bird's left and at the right edge of the image) might be removed or toned down if that is within your ethics. Overall, a very fine image with great color, perch, and BG.

Great capture! The composition is beautiful. The placement of the bird in the frame is fine to me. However, ideally, I wish there's less of the needles covering the perch on the lower RHS.
