    Default Roseate from High Island

Shot this while working down in Texas. Huge thanks to Sidharth for answering about 2,000 questions about shooting locations. I'd also like to thank Arash and Randy Stout for their input on my "new to me" camera"--a D3S. I couldn't be happier with it. It actually shoots in the dark, and 9fps really allows some nice wing positions. This is FF, added some canvas to the bottom. All C&C appreciated.

    Lyle,

I'm really liking the contrast between the bg and the pink from the Roseatte.

I think you can extract a bit more detail from the feathers, but besides that, it's top notch.

Nice capture. Sharp and exposure looks good. I think I would add some canvass to the right. Nice job.

Agree with Nick here, I would add canvas to overall image with a bit more to the right. It is a bit tight especially on the bottom and on the right.

Nice BIF shot Lyle, Love the down stroke pose and the darker green BG showcases the pink bird well. Looks like the focus was right on the head but the DOF didnt cover the leading wing, better the focus on the head than the wing though. Also might remove the white smudges in front of the nostrils. Yes to a bit looser crop. Nice capture.

Pretty impressive to get this full frame.
I would add just a smidge to the RHS and fix the whitish spots just above the beak. I f you have Nik Efex Pro I would us Detail Extractor on the wings.
    Well done,
    Gail
