Editing was minor, color correction, noise then crop.

Looks way better at larger res.

    Enjoy

very nice! I like the detail in the blacks and the pose. good perch and BG too. you can recover more detail in the reds if you tone it down a bit. calling pose is plus.

I like the dropped wings with the fanned out tail. Calling pose is nice - agree that you may be able to get some more detail out of the reds.

Great display pose captured. These guys are starting to do their thing around my local marsh; sure sign of spring. Good detail in the blacks. Reds noted.

Beautiful classic RWB calling pose. The red epaulette looks good to me. Soft BG looks awesome. I would have pointed the lens down a bit to get the subject a bit higher in the frame quite subjective though.

Super calling pose, perch, BG and blacks look great. Agree with Arash on the reds which need a little toning down since we can't see details in that area. Would probably recrop to take some off the top and put him higher in the frame as Daniel eluded to.

    Corey,

This one is a stunner! With that pose, I can HEAR the call (I just tried to type it, but it looked like jibberish, haha). Seriously, one of my favorite birds - very well portrayed!

If it were mine, I would not hesitate one second and get it out for print. 16x24. White mat, thin black frame. Just sayin'!

Great shot. The background really makes it for me. Hard to get these guys illuminated without a very bright BG.

Hi Corey, I have been shooting allot of RWBBs and YHBBs lately and as you know its not that easy to get the right light and exposure settings to get a good shot. This one is beautiful. Nice blacks and the reds look good too. The pose is perfect and I love the fanned tail as it adds dimension to the shot. Great BG too. I would crop half as much on top it were mine, and I with it was.

Two thumbs up on this one. Might try minor repositioning in the frame but might just end right back at this, Details in the feathers make this a winner.
