Here's another photo from Barnegat that I'm having a bit of trouble figuring out if it works or not. I love the light, but it was taken just a half hour before sunset and I'm afraid that it makes the body feathers look a little artificial (for lack of a better term). Any comments, especially on the appearance of the brown parts of the plumage, would be appreciated.

And I'd like to take this opportunity to thank all of the bird photographers out there who generously gave me advice on selecting my gimbal head setup. I bought the Jobu Junior 3 and the Kirk replacement collar for my lens, and I've been thrilled with it.
I think the light and feathers look great. You also have a great head angle. The only
thing I'd do is add a little canvas to the right to help remove the Oystercatcher out
of the center of the image. And maybe remove just a tiny slice from the bottom to remove
the out of focus sand.
