    Default Awaiting Orders

This image was taken at the recent Crystal River Raid - Civil War Reenactment.

The soldier was listening to some of his friends talking off screen. I thought his pose was very reflective of the taking of a short rest time before the battle.

Modification was in CS6 and Topaz.

    Enjoy!

Nice capture Mark, like the effects and framing...hope the gun is not loaded.

The black and white nicely works with the subject and the era. The lad does appear to be fatigued and/or bored. I would consider moving him to the left. I agree with Paul, a gun safety course is in order.

Mark - nicely processed and it does convey the mood of a weary soldier. The chairs in the back slightly diminish the old time feeling but add to the weariness of battle feeling.

Hopefully he had run out of steam and ammo! Nice filter effects, Mark.

Thanks all for viewing and comments. Appreciate it.

Rachael, the images in the back are the officers discussing the pending battle. I think the chairs are somewhat authentic. They are old folding wooden chairs that I have seen in the past in the later part of century.

At least he didn't have to get a background check and insurance to use the assault weapon to defend the country!

  7. Thanks Rachel Hollander thanked for this post
