    Default Yellow-billed Duck

It was great to get back to shooting nature, as Ive been busy with wedding photography. I visited my local pond in Pretoria on saturday and just love to capture these Yellow-bill's in flight when we can see the coloured speculum on their wings. Depending on the light angle, the speculum changes from a bright green to a deep blue. Taken early morning.

Wonderful capture Stuart. Great full down wing position with perfect exposure and feather detail. The yellow bill really pops off the screen nicely and the speculum feathers with the turquoise to blue transition is beautiful. Nice!!

Colors are great, down stroke is perfect and love the water BG. I feel the sharpening on the head is pushing the limits here, at least for me. Nice work.

This one is special. You are the king of ducks-in-flight. The speculum's blues and greens are sweetly maddening, as is the water. I agree: this is a particularly pleasing pose/wing position for a flying duck!
