Lovely job on this, Cheryl. The off level reflection inside the bright arc of the pool edge is a great comp, with some artistic tension - and the treatment on the reflection is 1st rate. Very nice!

I love it. Just the idea, by itself, deserves a lot of credit, but the execution was wonderful. The range in tones from the lower right radially toward the curve is great. Plastic Wrap . . . Who'd have ever thought? With that curve, I'd be inclined to flip the image horizontally, but it's terrific the way it is.

Hi Cheryl - great idea, well executed. The edge of the fountain works so well as a leading line and the effects bring it all together. I might evict some if not all of the spots in the uppermost part of the pavement.

Thanks, Dennis, I'll try the flip - hadn't thought of that. Sometimes plastic wrap if done very lightly will surprise you

Hi, Rachel, I see the spots - thanks, I'll eliminate some of them - it was a function of plastic wrap and I should have brushed them out

Here's a different view on the spots. When I looked at the image last night, I didn't see them consciously, but I think I was probably aware of them in some sense. For a long time, I've reacted positively to the patina on antiques and old hand tools. They provide a wonderful feeling of character and purpose. It's certainly a subjective reaction, but for me the spots impact the image in a good way. They're consistent with the texture of the rim of the pool, and I like their change in vertical distribution.

Nice image and application, Cheryl
Only comment is that I might tone down the concrete patio area, as it seems to draw my eyes from the pond. Other than that, nicely done.

Cheryl,
What an eye-catching image! My eye goes right to it in the thumbnails. Good show! I like it just the way it is (OP)...

This works really well. I like the unusual curve created by the fountain--a nice change from horizontal lines. The reflections are lovely, with just the right amount of distortion.
