Hi Jon - I like the golden tones of this and the placement of the owl in the frame. I don't mind the lack of eye contact since the owl is clearly hunting. Maybe just a little more sharpening on the owl?

    Rachel

Beautiful overall colour scheme and very nice hunting pose, Jonathan.

Lovely environmental image, and the owl is well placed in the frame. Owl needs a little more sharpening and if possible you might consider toning down the darker spots a tad.

I'm guessing a large crop due to the lack of detail in the bird. I love the habitat, tones and hunting pose.

Hi Jon, great hunting pose, and the colours of the BG compliment the owl nicely. I do like that we can see the grasses in the FG. Looks like you are having success with these guys, and the weather is playing ball too.

This image has much more visual impact than your previous one. Light, comp, habitat all look great. Perhaps a bit more sharpening to the subject and I'd be curious to try a version without the leg bracelet.
