Forgive me posting too many Wood Duck images.
The truth is that I really like this colourful duck.
Besides, there isn't much around here right now.
I like the perky pose of this image.
It tells you a lot about his personality.
    Thanks for looking.

Can never have too many wood duck photos, IMO! I like his pose, eye contact, nice detail. How close were you?
Saw our first Woodies of the spring a couple days ago... they flushed the minute I stopped the car (nearly 100 yrds away!).
    Nice image, Karl!

These ducks are beautiful but an exposure nightmare in the sun.You did well.
The whites look good and I wonder if you could tease a bit more detail out of the blacks.
Love the perky, attentive pose with the cocked tail and raised head. I like the hint of foot visible in the water as well.
I might take a bit off the top but lovely as is.

    Nice image, Karl!
    Thanks Steve.
I don't know how reliable the distance given in the exif file is, but it says; 8.3 m which would be about 25 ft give or take.

Impossibly colored quacker ! Light looks a bit harsh but handled pretty well and nice eye contact, I'd suggest crop a bit more from the top

No such thing as too many Wood Duck images.
Nice pose, exposure and colors. Comp is very nice too, but a bit off the top wouldn't hurt imo.
I'd sharpen the head just a tad more.
    Keep them coming Karl.
