Taken a few years back, had a blast photographing this hovering Kingfisher.

    Danny this is fantastic
I think this is the best way to present a hovering bird, the head is rock solid and all the parts in motion appear to be so, i think this is one of the best hovering KF i have seen so far
IQ looks good and the BG compliments it well
i am still looking at it

That wing blur is very interesting and I've never seen a hovering Kingfisher, nice colored and smooth backdrop as well...not sure on frame composition though, I think maybe a little more off the bottom to make a slightly wider aspect

This image has a lot to like about it.
Beutiful background, great colours and nice and sharp head/beak.
in sharp contrast, ( no pun intended) the rest of the body and especially the wings are OOF and blurred.
To me this is the part that makes the image interesting and different from the ones we see posted.

    This is really nice.
I like the tack sharp head and the amount of wing blur and foot blur makes this quite unique.
It has a very artistic feel to it. Lovely colors and BG,

I am really liking the movement in the wings and feet in this one. I find it quite unique. The sharp beak and head really helps to make it work.
