    Default Boat Tailed Grackel

Finally I went out today to try my luck and see if I can find interesting subject...I stepped out only to find dull and cloudy weather...still I went ahead to try my luck.

I saw few of these birds feeding in open so I gradually approached this active male and made few images...I over exposed image by 1 stop and in PP recovered the details in BG...

In good light this bird looks complete black to naked eye...After looking this image I was amazed to see the beautiful colors of the bird...

Hope you all like it...C&C are welcome and appreciated.

Stunning looking bird and contrasting so well against the grass and backdrop. Exposure on the dark colors is well handled and a good HA as well.just a slight halo on the edges showing but not major

Beautiful pose, nice low shooting angle. I seem to notice a narrow white line (halo) around the bird, maybe from sharpening.

Just love the pose and this image really shows the tail off perfectly.
Sharpening halo mentioned. The sheen looks great.
I would take a bit off the top,
    Gail

I checked the larger size and do not see halo...could it be caused by compression while resizing?

Glad to see you posting again, Sachin, and do keep them coming.
Male grackles are handsome birds in their own right.
The right light brings out amazing iridescence on them.
You've captured a nice strutting pose that does a great job of show casing that tail.
Good job exposing for the blacks here.
I do like the idea of cropping a bit off the top.

    Hey Sachin,
Excellent details in the blacks....really shows the colors off in there. As many know....I prefer tighter comps.....but personal preference. All in all a very nice job!
