    Another image from Costa Rica, Carara National park. This momma Mccaw popped out of her nest just long enough to get the shot. Pretty cool. I didn't see many of these birds because they really do hide well and high in the trees so I was pretty lucky to get this photo op.

    Nice job capturing this Scarlet Macaw. Exposed well and nice and sharp. Great colors and I love the perfect look at the entry way to her house. Nice spot to set up camp during breeding season. Well done

    So nice to see where one nests! I mostly see them on artificial perches.

    Great behavior/natural history image ... nicely composed and captured!

    Hard for me to imagine these as wild birds ... would love to see them some day!

    Really like your choice of composition, Cheryl, which I imagine could not have been easy. You have portrayed its habitat so well, and he really pops against his surroundings.
